Changes in the Mobile Body Frame from Quantum RTLS 1.0 to 2.0
What is the Mobile Body Frame?
The body frame of a Mobile refers to a coordinate system that is fixed to the device, moving and rotating along with it. This frame is used as a reference point to describe the device’s orientation relative to a global frame, such as the ZeroKey Quantum RTLS frame. Orientation parameters, including roll, pitch, and yaw, are defined using this body frame. The transducer lies at the center of the Mobile Body Frame.
The Old Quantum RTLS 1.0 Body Frame Definition
The body frame of the Mobile was oriented with the button pointing in the direction of the positive Y-axis and the positive X-axis pointing straight ahead when the Mobile was held with the ZeroKey name facing correctly.
The New Quantum RTLS 2.0 Body Frame Definition
To simplify the identification of the axes for the Mobile Body Frame, the definition has been updated starting with firmware version 2.0.0. Now, the button indicates the positive X-axis direction, and the USB port indicates the positive Y-axis direction.
