Connecting to Event Hub Using the Config Tool

The Connect to EventHub interface in the Config Tool allows you to establish a connection with an Event Hub service to receive real-time data and updates.

Getting Started

  1. Open the Config Tool and click the Event Hub button, located on the top right-hand side.

  • The Connect to EventHub window will open.

  1. In the EventHub Endpoint field, replace localhost with the IP address of your ZeroKey Edge Compute Device (ECD) while leaving the rest the same. For more information on how to get the IP address of your ECD, visit our help article Getting the IP address of your Edge Compute Device.

  1. Enter LocalAdmin in the Auth ID field and DefaultSecret in the Auth Secret field.

  2. In the Position Message Type dropdown menu, select the type of messages you want the Config Tool to receive from the Event Hub connection. For more details about each message type, please refer to our API documentation.

  • The Filter position data from console checkbox lets you filter the position data received from the console.

  • The Filter raw gateway messages from console checkbox lets you filter only the raw Gateway messages received from the console.

  1. Click the Connect button. If the connection is successful, Event Hub messages will start appearing in the Config Tool.
