Browser Requirements for the ZeroKey Dashboard
This article outlines the supported web browsers and settings required to run the ZeroKey Dashboard.
Supported Browsers
Microsoft Edge - v90 or later
Google Chrome - v90 or later
Unsupported Browsers
Mozilla Firefox
Mozilla Firefox is not supported. Users attempting to access the ZeroKey Dashboard with Firefox may experience unexpected behavior or degraded functionality.
Browser Configuration
Please ensure the following configurations are enabled in your browser:
JavaScript - The Dashboard relies on JavaScript for core functionality, including real-time data visualization and user interactions.
Cookies - The Dashboard uses cookies for session management and user authentication.
Pop-Ups - Certain features, such as report generation and external links, may open in new windows.
Hardware acceleration - Required for improved rendering performance, particularly when viewing the 3D visualization features.
Enable Hardware Acceleration
Google Chrome – Navigate to Settings -> System and enable “Use graphics acceleration when available”.
Microsoft Edge – Navigate to Settings -> System and Performance and enable “Use graphics acceleration when available”.
Troubleshooting
If dashboard performance is degraded, the following troubleshooting steps should be attempted before contacting the ZeroKey Support Team.
Clear Browser Cache and Cookies
Cached data may cause display or login issues after software updates.
Network Restrictions
Firewalls or proxy servers may block required connections. Contact your network administrator if WebSocket connections are restricted.
Browser Version
Ensure your browser meets the minimum version requirements listed above for either Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
Windows Power Settings
Accessing the ZeroKey Dashboard from a mobile device such as a laptop running on Battery Power can automatically disable Hardware Acceleration which can cause degraded functionality.
Capture Browser Console Logs
When contacting ZeroKey support, you may be asked to provide browser console logs. These logs contain diagnostic information that can help identify the cause of an issue.
To access and save console logs:
Open the ZeroKey Dashboard in your browser.
Press ‘F12’ or ‘Ctrl + Shift + I’ to open Developer Tools.
Select the Console tab.
Reproduce the issue.
Right-click anywhere in the console output and select Save As to export the log as a text file.
Attach the saved file to your support request.
